These are absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing!
Brilliant thank you GA.
Haha. Very clever, very funny!
Really hilarious what was recorded here — not much has changed in the fundamentally different social classes until today …

Greetings from Boston,
GA, I enjoyed George Cruikshank’s Comic Alphabet. So many channel his illustrations in Dickens’ Christmas Carol like G “Going,” H “Holidays,” and N “Nightmare.” What a genius!
Love these – great sense of humor!
I laughed out loud at B for Boots, the big boots look so silly I couldn’t help it!
The Comic Alphabet was reprinted in small form by the Arts Council of Great Britain and printed by Lund Humphries with even an ISBN (0 7287 0031). I keep it next to my copy of “Why Cats Paint” (Busch and Silver) and “U & Non-U Revisited” (Richard Buckle. ed). Thanks for displaying it in this large format right on my computer screen here in Boston and for your regular emails.
